The founder of the company wished to establish a long term compensation program to give key executives a wealth building opportunity.
We worked together with the founder to create a phantom stock plan that would allow key executives to earn deferred compensation based upon the appreciation of the company’s value. Since the implementation of the program the company has not lost a single key executive to a competitor.
Market Research Firm
Originally, assisted this client with bonus programs and shareholder buy-in, however the company’s biggest concern was how the principal shareholder could be eventually bought-out of the company. The minority shareholders did not know if they could survive under the debt necessary for the buy-out or if it would be better to sell to a 3rd party now.
Our team analyzed the company’s debt structure and assured the minority shareholder’s that they would be able to borrow against the company’s cash flow to buy-out the principal shareholder. In addition we helped establish a banking relationship, which permitted new shareholders to utilize the bank to buy their shares with the company guaranteeing the loan.
